Hey everybody, we finally got snow in my area, and whole 7"! and more coming. I'm currently up at school and was trying to leave my plowed in spot on the street to get back to campus. I pushed my touch drive to lock in 4x4 high and it made clicking sounds, but does not engage the tcase. After 5minutes of pushing the 4x4high button it finally engaged the tcase, the light come on in the button and it worked. I got to the parking lot and spun out going up the hill because it wasn't plowed there yet either and it did it again, 4x4hi and 4lo it don't matter, it took that long again before it would engage, and one time the light come on but it wasn't engaged. Can my problem be a loose connection not sending a full signal to the tcase so it backs out after its partially engaged? or in the little circuit board where the buttons are, having some glitch up there? Or could it be somewhere totally different that I'm not thinking of? The circuit board I have now is out of a rolled Ranger because it had the 4x4 hi button, the old board from when I bought the truck was missing that button you needed a key get inside and trip the lil yellow pad way in there. That one always worked first push. I never needed to use the one I put in till now, I put it in over summer when I first got it.

with any shifting problem on an e case i would look first to the shift motor but in your case i would look up some wiring diagrams of your truck, you probably hooked something up wrong if you're 100% its all wired right then, of course, take a hand sledge to your electric shift motor :icon_cheers:

Yea, I'll be looking up a wiring harness diagram while I'm "studying" for finals. lol. The computer with buttons was a plug with a snap to hold it so that I'm not thinking that is a problem but ive had stanger things happen. when i go home to a heated shop Ill be looking into it. Yea a hand sledge my be needed up here on campus though if I get stuck in a spot again :/
