1 Ton YJ Crawler build

thinking about a goat built type chassis

Got my goatbilt order in as well and picked up a new steering pump from them that'll work with full hydro or assist. I am still planning on keeping the assist and getting a new box, but we'll see.

Picking up a 4L60 tomorrow morning. Today I'm going to start working on my checklist to start planning out assembly

thinking about a goat built type chassis

I'd get a trail lizard if I was going to get a chassis right now i think, with the U doors

The size is small but not crazy small. One of my friends is building one and I'm jealous

damn.

that is a nice piece for sure.

....forgot how pricey stuff gets....not something we would consider for 5 grand. he will just build it.

my tubing bender is missing. i am still hoping to find it....and at least the 1 5/8 die. i think i have 60 feet of docal laying around.

he wants a small side by side-ish buggy to beat on because i been chewin his ass about tearing up the bronco....and wants it to be streetable....

so i am leaning awd roadster....maybe consider subi powered bug chassis....caged as needed running xj axles so paperwork is easy.

or just build a 4 whizzer ranger powertrain running xj stuff and plating it in sd....

and yeah....i know this will probably lead to a 100k buggy...but i will continue to lie to myself believing that will be a him problem.

that said...i looked at the subigearz conversion deal and running a subi diff up front like the vanagon guys
