Update: I currently have no time to work on this, that should change soon. Also I am trying to get a new job working as an EMT, so hopefully more money soon. I am still waiting for my switch panel, and for my allen to pull the kingpins. I have a friend who is an electrician, he is installing 220 in my garage in the next couple of weeks, which also means I am getting a hobart 187 at the beginning of june.

If you can, try and get a 190. Thats what I have and its great. The 190 has a built in switch, so a spool gun can be run by the flick of a switch. Great welder.

What is the switch for?

Built in spool gun circuitry. Really not a deal breaker, but nice to have.

meh, they have the 187 locally for an awesome price and I have heard great things about. Plus I can't really spend much more than I already am

Dont waste your money on an allen. Just get a 4" piece of hex steel and use a socket. BTW use a hot wrench and a 4' or longer cheater bar to free it if it hasnt been replaced before

Already bought, and I plan to get a cheater bar and hopefully get it out.

I will be building a truss soon, so a question for you

QUESTION: How much separation do I want at the axle? I have heard over 7in? Should I shoot right for 7? or go for 8? or 9?

Just got my front tires balanced and my truck rides so much better, I also just ordered some skyjacker shocks for the front of my truck that are made for 2in lift. It should ride WAY better now
