1/2 Ton Buggy Build

It's not a bad piece, but Solid has one thats 1/4" thicker at about $30 cheaper...

I got it because with 1.5" dom tie rod there is no room for a thicker cover or I would have gotten a 3/8 ruffstuff cover like I have on the 8.8.

I'd look into the Solid (axle industries) diff cover. My local 4x4 shop sells them for $65.00 and broncograveyard.com has them for $75.

There should be more than enough room with that cover.

I have the Solid diff cover too....have plenty of room for the DOM...but then it is on a D60:D:thefinger::thefinger:

Oh, stop braggin bc your rig's overweight. :D Granted, dis here's 'Merica, but I still like a slim light beautifully lined companion to ride

Installed the super joints in the chromoly shafts.

Got the shafts in and spindles on but the wheel bearings are bad and rotors are more grooved then I thought so I need to get some new ones.

I guess I should've added low budget to the title. Full hydro is about $1500. And if going full hydro I should have went triangulated 4-link front and rear another $2000, because I don't know how well panhard bars and full hydro go together. The total price when I'm done if I stick to the plan will be about $5000.

Oh yeah if I did all that I should have went 60's. That is why I don't have a build thread on Pirate :icon_rofl:

And hydro assist can always be added later:icon_thumby:
