Test drive went very well, drove 3 miles, zero issues. Very stiff suspension lol.

Getting the bed back on will help with that.

These things are flipping amazing. First time I've used it since I was gifted it 2 years ago.

New tie rod end. Haven't greased it yet, will before I leave for the inspection tomorrow. I just forgot lol. I had to use a nail instead of a cotter pin, as the old one had to be drilled out and I only stock rollpins lol

Prepped bed for reinstall, everything went smooth with my father's help.

And she's back together. The bed might come off again to do some rust work, but I need this one since my escape is in the body shop.

I replaced the drivers rear/bottom door latch, which was way easier than I thought it would be. Def needs rust cleaning and protection, but too damn hot for that today. (Pics later today).

I also lubricated the Passenger rear/bottom latch as well, it was stuck mid-way. Kroil and a lot of working with a bolt open/closed got it working again.

My first highway test with the truck went well, 90 miles round trip for work each day. There is a shimmy in the front at 60mph+ that shakes the steering wheel pretty bad. I jacked the whole front up and I feel no play in the ball joints or tie rods. I think it might be the old tires/balancing issue or alignment. I am taking it into a local shop to have it looked at on the 13th, and Ford is doing their Takata airbag crap on Thursday this week.

On another note, I am installing the grill guard today, my father is going to help me get it mounted. Pics to come. and possibly a bed cover I am buying from my buddy for $40 used. I am going to get that replacement rear gas tank strap on the truck too. (30 second job).

Its hot out, 90 degrees so far here in northern PA, and thunderstorms Fri afternoon thru Tues. So I am aiming to finish my work today, but throughout the whole day. Taking a break every hour to keep from overheating. (I have a pitcher of ice water with me too lol).

Also, anyone ever wire in a 7-wire trailer plug before? I am looking for decent instructions if they exist.
