04 edge oil light

Having problem the red oil light cant figure how to turn off. I have been told its the light for oil change. It is just called an oil light in manual. I have tried the hold speedo down 5 sec there isnt a menu that comes up. I have had several oil changes they dont have a clue. I know its not the sender replaced. Put a manual guage know there is oil pressure. Would like to know how to reset.

You are used to working on GM or MOPAR products, aren't you?

It can't be "reset". There is not an oil life minder on your truck. How does one "hold the speedometer down"? If you mean the accelerator, the 12+ Fiestas and Focuses are the only cars to date where Ford has used that as the oil life reset.

Have you bothered to actually check the oil level? The red light means only 1 of 2 things.

1) Low oil pressure

or

2) Low oil level.

So if both of those are correct, then something is broken in one of the sensing systems.
