So last week I had air in my mc line. I took the master out of the truck to bleed the line. Got it to where the clutch was tight and no slop. So now after a week I noticed the clutch is starting to get some play in it again. I also noticed that the reservoir is empty so I parked the truck till I figure out what is wrong. I don't see any fluid leaking. Any thoughts on where to look. Should I replace the master cylinder? Where cold the fluid be going? Any help would be great.

Did you check inside the cab for fluid leaks?

Problems with The MASTER CYLINDER.... time to call Felix the Cat.

I agree with floored... Check your carpet. My Korean wonder buggy clutch master did exactly that same thing.

I checked the carpet and no issues there. I dont know much about the clutch system. How hard is it to get to the slave cylinder? Is it something that may need to be tightened or replaced?

The slave is inside of the bell housing - you've got to pull the trans to get to it. If you are losing fluid, you should be able to see it leaking somewhere - out of the master, pinhole in the line or the slave which you should see coming out of the bell housing.

You won't always see the leak. I had a slave go bad and I barely even lost any fluid at all. It would only leak the slightest bit when it was hot, enough to cause problems.

I think im going to wipe the bell housing, and reprime the master cylinder and leave it set and see if the fluid is comming out of the slave cylinder. I did notice there was a little bit of ware on the hose from hitting the frame. May have a little hole that im not seeing. If i fill it and leave it set do you thing i would see it leak if its the slave?

Pull the rubber plug on the side of the trans bell, and stick your fingers in there to feel for fluid.

Problem with slave leaks is that they aren't always major, but since it's a hydraulic system they always cause issues. I drove for a year with a bad slave before I pulled the trans to fix it and all I had was a little trickle down the back of the bell where it bolts up. I never would have been able to find it without pulling the trans.

Had a Slave, that made master fluid disappear for about 3 weeks before you could see the spot on the ground where I parked.

After some looking around it is a bad slave. I wish I had the know how in disassembling the trams to fix it. But that's one think I have no knowledge of so I dropped it off to my mechanic. He said is would be 450 to replace slave. Damn and the part is only 42 bucks. O well. I need it fixed.
