My cousin has a 86 ranger supercab 4x4 2.9 w/ a junk A4ld. I know that a C-4 will bolt up to it so I was wondering if a an AOD would bolt up as well? from what I've been told an AOD is esseintally a C-4 w/ an overdrive 4th gear.I know where I can get one out of a 87 f150 w/ a transfer case w/ it as well for pretty cheap.

the proper C4 can be mated to it, however finding the proper C4 is the challenge.

an AOD? No.

The AOD has an integrally cast bellhousing and it was never made in a bellhousing to fit the Cologne engines.
