302 or 351w?

iv always liked the pull on the 351w but then again the 302 has the higher rpm range...what do you guys think?

im slapping a freshly rebuilt mustang b/w 5 speed in with it and converting to a carb...

im open to suggestions

oh yeah and anyone know a good place to get a pulley setup for either motor?
iv aleady went out and bought the jegs ranger v8 swap kit

The only REAL consideration between the two engines is wieght. The 351 can be modified to run much higher Rpms than the 302 for just a little money.

i am on a pretty tight budget, iv already blown most of my cash on the conversion kit, suspension, and other items for the truck...im going to do a slight preformance build, polish crank, new pistons, maybe some alumnium heads, ext ext...not planning on going all out on the motor. i had a 400 in my old one that i dumped a lot of money into and iv almost killed myself a few times in it...

On a tight buget, then stay with the 302. Even the "Z" spec T-5 is only rated at 350 lb/ft. Then as time and money allows, start collectng parts for the next stage.
