That’s fine. But you should still add diagonal braces or gussets to that cross member you built. Otherwise, it will break from side- loading.I will add a sway bar soon
A sway bar won’t add any strength to a frame... You need a crossmember that keeps the frame rails from bowing in and out. The one you have won’t do that, but it can be changed to work.I will add a sway bar soon
you should start a build thread so others can follow your progress. The 4.6 in a Ranger is still a pretty rare bird. especially one that is well documented. There are a few here with 4.6 Rangers but the build threads are less than informative. I am in the process of starting a 5.0 swap into mine, but thought about the 4.6 because there are at least a 100 in the JY at any given time while the Expo/Mounty 5.0's are drying up around here.I don't have the motor back togeather yet
They make it look so easy. I wonder where the steering column shaft is supposed to fit.
