You can fix leaking windows on them caps pretty easily. Get some BUTYL TAPE from an RV store. It's like $5 for a 50' roll. Stuff is water tight and lasts forever. I bought my cap for $30 and it was missing a window. I had a local true value cut me a piece of glass and then I put it in with a ring of butyl tape around it. Not only does it stay dry but the butyl tape keeps it from rattling around. So I have about $50 in it now.

How did you find your shell? Online, dealer? I haven't had any luck browsing the local Craigslist, haven't tried a camper shell dealer yet, and trying to avoid them as they put horrendous prices on them.
I was watching FB marketplace and Craigslist, ended up finding it on Cragslist.

It has sliding side windows with screens on the inside secured with pop rivets... I don't really want to poke that bear,

It doesn't leak in rain, just a carwash so it is pretty low priority.

I keep watching Craigslist, eventually I'll find one....and since my truck is white, just about any color will work LOL.

In that case, here're a few colour suggestions for you: Puke Green, Hot Pink, Fluorescent Orange, Fluorescent Yellow, Poop Brown, Blood Red. How about dark blue with bright red polka dots?

Sounds like color choices on most of today's shoebox cars LOL.

I think a fluorescent pink one would be hilarious though, maybe blood red it'll conceal the blood of bambi much better LOL.

1955 Mercury. Came out of the junkyard around 1963 with a rod through the number 5 cylinder wall of the 292 Y-Block. Dad, an excellent machinist and mechanic, and I rebuilt that car from end to end. I drove that car all across the U.S. until the frame finally rusted in two around 1973. The junkyard man pulled the engine and ran it in his pickup even after that.

'65-'66 Mustang. Nice! (If I'm not mistaken, side marker lights came in '67(?), and yours doesn't appear to have them.

Not sure about how Canadian automotive safety laws go, but for USA, sidemarker lights were mandatory in 1968

I'm not sure, either. BUT, except for in 1990 and onward (with daytime running lights) we pretty much got what you got (except for the speedometer being in km (Post '77), and the gas gauge measuring in Liters (Post '77)).

So if the US had to have side markers in '68, we got them, too.

Correct it doesn't have them, fore/aft side markers didn't start until 68'.
