I have a leak...went to add some.....i bought prestone and added maybe 2 ounces......its clear colored...says for all vehicles.....the stuff in my pump reservoir is pink, im assuming a tranny fluid, after reading up on it a little bit.........I will be redoing the Teflon ring at the connector fitting to the pump soon.....what fluid should I add when refilling ? Thanks

My credo
If you don't have time to do it right will you have time to do it over?
It should be stamped on the dipstick, I believe it's Mercon V. If you don't have the manual I bet you can find it here in the tech library. When I retired in 2017 we had 8 different transmission fluids for just Fords, I can't believe there is a truly universal fluid.
