The little stubs that I use to lock my door on the door by the window( hope you know what i mean). the driver side one got really short into the door and the passenger one got really long. is there a way i can fix this? and what causes this? kinda funny how one got really small while the other got really long.

Maybe it's colder on the driver side? :icon_rofl:

There is a small amount of adjustment that you can make by rotating the stub. Counterclockwise for short side and clockwise for the long side, maybe you can even them out.

Do you have kids? Maybe they were playing with them?

Otherwise, you could take the door panels off and the rod on each side may be bent out of shape.

Well, if the kids were playing in the cab they could have decided it was fun to screw or unscrew the knobs.

yeah, they are just plastic covers that screw onto the lock rod. when locked, they should be nearly flush with the door panel, when unlocked they stick out about 1/2 inch or so.

unscrew both of them and look at the rods themselves.. are they equal in the locked or unlocked position?

might possibly have the threads boogered up on the one that sticks up higher...

might be time for some cheap autozone replacements...
