Short of putting my truck in the air and turning the driveshaft...

It's an 02 edge 4x4 ext cab with 3.0, manual transmission. I'm thinking maybe someone knows that *all* Rangers with that setup came with a certain gear ratio.

If it matters, I checked it out the other day and the rear diff has only one tag...not two, so I'm thinking it has no LS.

there should only be one tag on the rear diff, there should be two lines of text on it, the first digits of the second row are your diff ratio it'll look something like 3 73 75XXXX if there is a L between the 3 and 73 then you have a limited slip.

the easiest ratio to determine by setup is 4.10's in a 2.3L 4x4 ranger as most of them came with that ratio, the rest are hit and miss with 3.08, 3.45, 3.73 being fairly common

Yep like he said. More then likely you have a 3.73 gear ratio, I have the exact same truck only its a 99.

There only is one tag on the axles, and it should read like scott put up.

Sweet thanks guys. I've got an open 8.8 with 4.10's. Kind of what I was hoping it was.
