I poop in the furnace.
Battle with the town continues, jury is still out, but they poured the sidewalk and replaced the concrete part of the driveway. Today was a victory.

I used the red 97 ranger on Saturday to get an assortment of Guatemalans and Mexicans and some drain pipe to pull back about 5ft of the brick driveway and fix the drainage the city ruined.

Today I used the red ranger for everything. I left it and Big Red out of the pen while the driveway is dug, formed, poured and cures. For some reason I just used the little red ranger. Big Red stood guard, both now on the sidewalk across the street.

The white line on the road to the right of Big Red is where my grass used to end.

I don’t know how that big “W” got in the middle...

The adventure continues...
The county has been considering expanding the shoulder on my road and putting in huge new telephone poles that are twice as big as the ones there now. It would eat up nearly 30 feet of everyone's property. Every year the surveryers come out and put down a bunch of little flags and marks up and down the road. Been trying to do it for over 10 years now but they've never made it past the survey stage. The folks down the road at the winery said they had hired lawyers to fight it claiming random nonsense like that tree stump by the road was a tree George Washington chopped down or nonsense like that to get the historical weirdos involved. Then they say oh god there was an endangered turtle in the ditch and get the environmentalist weirdos involved. Weirdos can actually be really useful for these situations. Go find some weirdos!

He did... he’s here isn’t he?
Eh, we're weird but lack passion or coordination. We could probably wrangle up 4 or 5 of us to go to his house and harass the city workers if he provided beer and fresh meat. I'd be willing to let a bunch of roosters loose in his town hall, but that's more because I really need to get rid of a bunch of roosters in a convenient way and not so much because I wanna "help".

All the governments figured out about 15 or 20 years ago, that when you want to widen the road, do the utilities and the intersections first. It’s real easy to pave over the ground. Before that they used to pave 20 miles of highway, and then have it go bad and the weather for a year while they build the overpass. My point is, if they are updating the utilities, the freight train is already left the station. And they don’t think over a year or two, they will keep pushing for 20 3040 years.

If you want to send me some details, I think most of the guys here have already figured out that I am a professional and very well accomplished pain in the ass. The trick is not to fight them in town Hall, the trick is to get it in the media in an election year, and to get your neighbors riled up. Look at everything they do, and twist it against them. They’re usually incredibly arrogant, so it’s usually pretty easy to set them up if you think for two seconds, and then embarrass them in the press.

Let me give you an example. I don’t know if you Saw my post yesterday or the day before where I put the W in the new driveway, and the city was pouring the concrete. So three guys in suits came by, I don’t know who they were I wasn’t here at the time. But I’ll bet you I’m gonna get some kind of official letter or notice of violation or something for the W.

The front half of the driveway is in the right of way, but from the W towards my house Is my personal property. So if and when they complain about the W, instead of responding about the W and instead of going to the city, I’m going to the same news reporter I’ve used for a few years and I’m going to complain about the city officials trespassing on my property without permission.

Now take that to the umpteenth level. And, yuck yuck, this is an election year here!

How it helps, hope He forgives me (But these suckers are so ripe, you can’t resist)

Drove it home and the p/s pump is ok and the hose is no longer spraying the frame. I did have the shifter knob come loose again so once I got home I tightened it up again. If it comes loose one more time I'm going to purchase a new one, fill it with silicone, then install it for the added grip strength to the shaft. I would do something more permanent but then I would need to remove the shifter boot for some currently unknown reason because.... Murphy's Law. That's why.

Gave it a well deserved bath. Checked the oil and found that my biggest oil leak was the valve covers gaskets that I replaced as I would usually be putting in a quarter of a quart but It is just below the full line now and still that golden color.

My red Ranger pulled yard detail again and got used like a large, self-propelled wheelbarrow moving wood chips and log chunks around my property. Tomorrow it’s going to get worked on, try to button up a few issues. My buddy brought the F-150 by so we could unload it too, then took it back up there so we can demo more of the chimney

My new, used 14” king coil overs came in last week. I’ve got big plans for her. Gonna build extended radius arms, put in a set of 64” leafs, shackle flip and possibly some bilstien shocks. Lots of plans, not enough time or funds to make it happen as fast as I want lol.
