With the fried wiring in the '88, I am seriously thinking about scraping this truck and getting ahold of another in better repair. Here is what I am looking at, tell me which y'all would do.

1- Continue rebuilding the '88 and deal.
2- Buy a better '88 and swap all the new parts over.
3- Buy a '90 BII and swap over new parts, wait for motor to blow, and plug and play a 4.0l.
4- Buy an Exploder Sport which already has the motor, axels, and rear hatch options that are so desirable. Sell off what ever parts I couldn't use.

My wifes vote is for the Exploder for the wider platform and it already comes with what I would put in the BII. This is just a rally/camping/weekend toy. Thanks for the input y'all!

I say get the Explorer. I am getting rid of my BII and getting a '91 Explorer. I am swapping my Dana 35, Explorer 8.8, lift, and tires over to the Explorer.

I'm impartial to the 88s so I'd say continue building...but if you can afford to buy the Explorer and keep the Ranger as a build project that would be an also...

:black_eye: Is what I would get from my wife. This IS the build project/also. I have our pair of Harleys, a Dodge Ram, and her Trans Am. This is just a project to keep my occupied. I'm never home to play with my other toys as it is, not to mention looking like a used car lot. :icon_rofl:

explorers are a dime a dozen. A jacked up BII looks so much better....me personally i would find one in good shape and take parts off my beat up one. I love my 88 but the wife is making me get rid of it as well.
