Transmission swap

Hi all I'm new here I'm looking for help I have a 2003 Mazda B-3000 duel sport its automatic but I have no park, reverse,or drive and it is starting to slip in 2nd I want to do a manual transmission swap keeping it 2wd is there anything special I need to do or can I just cut a hole in my floor and put a manual in I know you have to change the steering colom and pedal assembly any help would be appreciated

You will need a trans from a 2wd truck with a 3.0 engine plus everything else you mentioned. This topic has been covered a million times here, search around a bit and you'll find what you need.

The hole in the floor is already there, just has a plate over it

You want an M5OD-R1(M5R1) manual transmission from a 2001-2008 3.0l Ranger, or B-3000, MUST BE from a 3.0l engine, and a 2WD

2001-2008 because they have the correct OSS sensor on transmission, earlier doesn't have that sensor, and 2008 was last year for 3.0l Vulcan engines


If you can get a 2003 engine computer from a Manual 3.0l Ranger/Mazda, then do it, must come with keys and the ignition cylinder to match PATS, so would be good to get the steering column complete with keys and Computer(PCM), and the pedal assembly from one vehicle
