Transfer Case Noisy Or Jumps Out Of 4x4 Low Range
Trouble Shooting: 1995 & Newer Transfer Cases:

"This problem turned out to be the electronic 4WD Control Module behind the passenger side kick panel. The box is easy to replace and has 4X4CM on it."

This is posted in the Tech Library. I cannot find the control module box this is talking about in my O4 Ranger? Thanks for the help Ryan-

I not 100% sure (my newest truck is a '94), but I think the control module for the '95up trucks is tucked up under the dash (part of the GEM module).

it's in three different locations depending on your vehicle.

it is either in the back behind the seats under the rear window, or right where your passenger's right foot would be. you can pry the pretty parts off to check either of these spots.
and if it's an extended cab it can be behind any one of the two jump seats also.

you cant miss it because of the nice white button and LED.

the GEM module and a solenoid are behind the radio in the dash
