Got a 2003 B3000

Does the transceiver module, key ring and black box under the ignition, need to be programmed or anything special once installed? Or just disconnect the battery and install.

It sounds like it's just an antenna. Only the key, pcm and pats needs Ford's help.

I just got done rebuilding the motor and everything was going great. Only damaged wires are the ac and two fuel injection terminals, rest of the wires look brand new! Was going for a test drive and wouldn't turn over. Starter is good. Just flashing thief very quickly
Forgot I left the key in it, in the on position, for about 30 mins and it just started working again!
It's got over 300k miles and it was a bit nasty under the cover so Im thinking it's worn out.

Update
Replaced it about a month ago and starts right away.

It was randomly flashing the thief light rapidly but if I turn the key off and on it would eventually start.

Glad you got it working (y)

Correct, the transceiver ring around the key slot is just a powered antenna so can be swapped out without any programming

Just as a heads up, when Theft Light flashes rapidly after key on, wait for 45 to 60 seconds with key still on, and Theft Light will start to Flash a 2 digit code number
1:1 to 1:6
So one flash followed by 1 to 6 flashes, then repeats a few times

11 Transceiver [transponder coil] not connected, or there is no power to it.
12 Transceiver internal fault.
13 No Key/no PATS key has been used to turn the ignition switch.
14 Incomplete key code received.
15 Invalid key code received.
16 CAN communications error.

Thanks

Im guessing that code works like a single flash pause and a repeat of 1-6 flashes followed by another pause?

If so im sure it was 13 or 14

Yes, that's how it works, 1 flash(always), pause, the 1 to 6 flashes, longer pause, then repeat, I think it only repeats 3 or 4 times
