i have an 88 4x4 ranger and was wondering if there is a external slave trans that will bolt up to my 2.9 and t case?? :icon_confused:

I believe the Toyo Kogyos used external slaves but I recall them not having a bleeder so good luck with that. And I don't think they were very strong trannys.

so is there any outher options? somthing i can build maybe?:icon_welder: just seeing what options i have if any

one more thing how much shorter is a b2 rear drive line than a standerd cab ranger drive line??

No, there is nothing off the shelf that is even remotely worth it.

Concentric slaves last substantially longer. You still have to pull the trans when the off-axis forces kill the release bearing. And the throwout lever is an additional part that can fail.

And just how much work are you going to go through to save yourself a few hours once every 5-10 years.
