hey everybody. im currently building a sas ranger. its a 94 ext cab eb d44 front axle. im running 6.5 in front eb coils. i lengthened my radius arms. and im getting ready to do the track bar this is my first truck build ever. surprised ive gotten this far lol. so anyway my question is im having trouble with how i should make my track bar ive decided to go the james duff ranger sas track bar mount. now as for the bottom should i buy an adjustable mount from ruffstuff or should i keep the factory track bar mount and go from there. also to get the appropriate length ive took 2 ratchet straps in an x fashion to keep the axle center while i jack the axle up to put it at ride height. is this correct? like i said before this is my first build ive read a handful of threads and looked around at other info for track bars but i wanted to ask as well. well thanks for the help :icon_thumby:

Figure out what steering you want, get that installed and then figure out your track bar mounts so both the track bar and steering draglink are parallel so you won't get as little bump steer as possible. That's what I would do.

Yes, it should be at ride height. As far as centering the axle, just get it close so you can take measurements. And the last question, yes, if that is what you want to do.

alrighty so now here is my issue. (the only other hand i have is my girlfriend.) i have the front of the trucks on blocks. i put the ratchet straps in an x fashion. to keep the rear from going side to side. now when i jack the truck to get the front of the truck off the blocks. i cant figure out how to center the rear if the truck still sways side to side. i know i sound like a idiot but if i don't ask i wont get answers. should i just put some weight on the springs and not all of it so the truck don't move and i can still move the rear. i know i making it a lot harder than it is lol.. hopefully its not confusing

When I did mine, I just put springs in, lowered it on its own weight and then used ratchet straps to pull the truck over to center then installed the Trac bar.

Do you have adjustable radius arms? If so, just keep tweaking them till the wheelbase measures the same on both sides and cross measurements are the.same.
