So I was planning on SASing my 91 ranger with a hp30 I got from a friend. But I litterally just fell into some pretty much free ford 9in and dana 44 hp from a 78 bronco.

My question is which track bar should I use? I really want to have this rig back on the road ASAP as it is my daily driver. I have an adjustable track bar for the dana 30 that looks like it is long enough for the 30, but when I hold it up next to the 44 it doesn't look nearly as long as the bronco 1. So will I need a track bar as long as the broncos at least? Or will I get away with the adjustable one for a jeep xj?

I personally have no experience with that question or swap. You may be better off posting this in the 4x4 section or axle section. Have you looked in the tech section and see if there's any help there? Or search the forums I mentioned ?
