this is Sault Ste. Marie Michigan. Canada is on the other side of the river.
normally there would be 2+ feet of snow cover with mounds of it on parking lots and the river frozen solid.

400 miles south of there, in Toledo Ohio, we have had less than 4" of snow total this season.

here in Toledo with all the warm temps there was only 1 record hi temp set during February.

It started out kind of mild at 6:00 AM when it was 57F. Three hours later and it is now 46F. It is chilly, rainy and the high temperature for the day looks like it happened at 6:00 AM today. But, the weather looks like it is going to be nice next week.

We got a break in the rain today. I think I heard we are 5" over average at this point. 70% chance of storms tomorrow. Then another break on Monday before we get rain the rest of the week.

Surprisingly, the storm system blew right past us to the North. So, it looks like we might have a bit of a reprieve until Wednesday or Thursday. That will give the water ways a chance to drain down some.

I need to help my sportsman's club clear some downed trees but can't get across the creek until the water level drops. No other way over except to ford the creek since the bridges are only built for foot traffic and riding mowers.

In theory, theory and practice are the same. In practice, they are different.

Yikes! You may want to energize defense shields and run for your life. Never heard of gorilla hail. I'm going to look that up. It doesn't sound pleasant.

Edit; looked up gorilla hail. You're doomed.
If it's the scary looking radar we are OK. But the upper circle is like centered on our house.

Also: Tornado watch.

Saturday night was a little tense here. I was watching the radar and was tracking a radar indicated tornado approaching from the south and another one approaching from the west. At one point there were (4) radar indicated tornadoes around us. Fortunately none of them touched down.

Oklahoma wasn't as lucky. This storm cell devestated the city of Sulphur, Ok.

My next-door neighbor has an underground tornado shelter and had reminded me to join them in it if we had a tornado, but my daughter and her husband were visiting with their (2) Golden Retrievers. Not sure how well adding (3) people and (3) dogs to their shelter would have worked out.
