We are supposed to get into the 40s starting on Monday. It will be the first time in over two weeks we broke 30 degrees. The bad news is there is rain in the forecast and nightly lows are going to be below freezing. Depending on when it rains, this could be fun.

It still hasn't got above freezing here, I started leaving the fridge door open to help keep the kitchen warm

Now they're talking some warmer temps but also rain ever day :/

I was in high school for the first Earth Day.
we were all supposed to die 40-50 years ago.
headlines from circa 1980 warned of an impending ice age.

greenies hated diesels then too.
I'm 62. Graduated hs in 1979. I remember all the blabber about an ice age. Yet, here we are.

The low was 46. The storm out here is warm. The temperature jumped to 61 in about two hours. We are also experiencing 60 mph winds. Hopefully this isn't going to be a repeat of last year when it knoced out the power for three days.

we've been having some pretty big temperature swings lately. High 20s at night and low 50s during the day.

My credo
If you don't have time to do it right will you have time to do it over?
For most of my life the last week of January and first week of February were the coldest of the winter, it's been in the 30's here- that's 30's above zero. We always used to hit -30 every year, -35 wasn't rare and I've seen -40 a handful of times. This winter's low has been around 11 degrees. I don't need any sub zero temps but I also don't need it to be 30 degrees above average in August. High 90's and humid is plenty.

The low was 41. The high was 50 at 11:00 AM. It was back down to 43 by 3:00 PM, and it rained most of the day.

supposed to be quite warm with a high near 60 degrees.
that will not break the daily record set wayyyyy back in 1900 of 62 degrees.

Same here. I don't think we are supposed to drop below 40 tonight either.

My credo
If it's not broken Don't Fix It!
The high for here at my GF's house in Troy, NY is supposed to be 47°F with a low tonight of 36°F. Right now its 41°F and the dogs are staying outside for an hour at a time, there choice as one barks to come in and the other knocks on the sliding door to be let in.

This year it hasn't been below 10°F which is odd for my area. This year has been so warm by comparison but the heating bill is much better because of it.
