Custom everything! Purists look out!
Basically what the title states... What size are his tires. I'm curious because he's using 4.56 gears and I want to change my gears and get larger tires. Currently I have 3.73's with 31's.

4.56s and 33's; 31's and 4.10 for a 4.0.

The 2.8, 2.9, 3.0 make a lot less torque: 150, 170, 180 ft# (67%, 76%, 80%) respectively, so for a comparison you would need, for 31" tires, 6.17s for the 2.8, 5.40s for the 2.9 and 5.13s for the 3.0 to be equal to a 225ft# 4.0 with 4.10s.

The 4.0 is a very big and compact 60-degree motor and cheaper than a gear swap. Something to think about if you have a 2.8/2.9 thinking about larger tires.
