alright, as of this moment, i've got the truck on jackstands with the front wheels off so i can permanently lock the front hubs.

but what the hell is the trick to get the shitheads out??? i'm following the tech library procedure write up, but i'm stuck on the first freakin' step. help please???? nowwwww?

EDIT: disregard everything above, i've decided against permanently locking the hubs and doing things the right way and getting manuals. i did manage to be somewhat productive while i was outside though :)

i figured why not, sure looks cool though!

okay, basics: white 1998 ranger, supercab, 4x4, 4.0 OHV, 3.73 L/S. i picked this truck up about three months ago for $5186 including tax and title. it had about 136,000 miles on it, i'm at 140,000 right now. i work on my vehicles obsessively and i'm never happy until my trucks look and run exactly how i want it to :icon_twisted:
Its a 98 it should already have fulltime locked hubs shouldnt it? Ordo they have the vacuum?

what the honduran said :) i asked my buddy's dad about permanently locking them and he said it was a horrible idea, that it'd stress my CVs out too much and i'd be constantly replacing them. but if the 01+ live axle setup doesn't run into so many problems, then why would locking the vacuums do so?

PS: look what i got this afternoon :icon_thumby:

RSH, the lift blocks are exactly 3" tall and 3" diameter.

i've been working a lot more lately and haven't had much time to get anything done. the body lift is still sitting in the garage just chompin' at the bit to be put on and i've still got a CEL code to resolve.

but last night, i was bored and decided to tint out my corner lenses the same way i did the amber lenses and tail lights.

looks pretty nice :)

my uncle said he's gonna work out a deal with me on his 32x11.50 BFG A/Ts on 15" daytonas the first week of july when i drive up to new york. i'm excited :headbang:

EDIT: bumper valance is removed in prep for body lift. that bumpers getting sanded and sprayed black too.

i found rust :bawling:

this is on the driver side right behind the bumper, that's the front most body mount you see there.

what exactly should i do about this? thankfully, it hasn't hit the body mount so i won't have any problems getting the lift blocks in there.

NEW UPDATED PICS!!

i've managed to get a lot done the past two days cause i've been off of work. haven't had time or help to get the body lift done yet but i promise, it's coming soon.

i liked the look of the tinted lights and black grille on the front so i decided to go even further into the murdered out look on the front.

pulled the bumper off, sanded it down good and finally got rid of that stupid, ugly chrome.

sanded and undercoated the frame horns and tow hooks, found more rust on the core support lol

repainted the grille and blacked out the mesh and ****ed with the ford emblem. i took the blue oval off and thought that it'd look cool if i painted the center ford part black and left the outer ring chrome. this is the new front end :headbang:

then i got these from my buddy's old '78 ford, i've been wanting a set of these for a while.

my truck looks so weird with nothing in the bed, wtf?!

cut the bedliner down so that it'd clip in underneath the bed rails, who knew how useful gardening tools could really be??

finished product, i love it. the whole truck is slowly starting to come together.

i'll have off-road pics next weekend when i go to horse hole creek for memorial day weekend, i'm gonna dig shit uppppppp.
