But with the Nissan slave is the master cylinder upgrade necessary?

I think 84_ranger brougnt up the point about using a 164T bellhousing. That's a know problem with a lot of headers including the Tri-y's.

Honestly I was just thinking of doing some :icon_welder: on the patriots and making them fit with some Magnaflow cats. I was going to do that anyways with the AA headers so why not do it to some headers that cost half as much?

My Tri-Ys fit perfectly.

Any slave cyl you find is going to be 3/4" bore, and your Ranger has a 5/8" bore master cylinder. So it will be just close enough to drive you nuts.

Late '80s Rangers were available with a 7/8" master on some V6 models (4.0, maybe?) and that is what I swapped to.
There are some high dollar angled adapters available now to fit the angled firewall with any master cylinder (Willwood, for example)- check classic Mustang sites if that's your style.

I've seen those and I'm not really willing to pay for them. There is the 3/4" bore master from the 1992 4.oL. That would practically bolt-in from what it looks like.

3/4 bore + 3/4 bore = harmony, correct?

Maybe. The T5 seems to need quite a throw, but hopefully that one works.

You'll need to modify the cast pedal bracket like I did, as '94 and older masters bolt to the firewall, instead of clipping the the pedal bracket like '95+.

Most Ranger master cylinders have a stroke of !", believe the best stroke at the slave is 1.25-1.375" for a T-5 without moving the pivot point. With the same bore at the slave, you'r only going to get the same movement at the slave. Just a matter of math. Go with the biggest bore MC you can.

Alright, before I order these I need the OK from someone. I don't want to find out when I put them in the truck that they won't fit.

RAYBESTOS Part # 2337493 - Datsun 280Z 3/4" bore slave cylinder
DORMAN Part # CM39896 - Ranger 7/8" bore master cylinder (willing to modify the bracket and firewall)

This is the right stuff? Anything else I'm missing? Adapters, fittings, ect.

Many of us use Russell part number 640281 adapters (or similar) to go from the Ford master cylinder fitting to AN line.
You will also need a way to get you line to that slave as well.
