you dont need that shiftster thing - if you take off the shift motor, you can shift it with a pair of pliers - it is kindof a good idea though

that one on explorerforum is pretty sweet though - if it works good

somewhere in the past I saw a thread where someone made a manual shift out of an elect shift case - you have to drilll holes in precise locations to make it work plus hope is seals right
not sure where it was though - I'd try searching explorerforum.com or at rrorc.com

easiest way would be to just find a manual shift case somewhere

The thing about his product is it will lock into place, so it will not slip out of gear. the electric shift transfer case can be shifted with a pair of pliers once the motor is off, however it WILL pop out of gear......NOT good.

his product stops this.

as for making an electric shift transfer case to manual....your better off just getting a maunal shift case from a junkyard for 200-300 bucks. it's a complete bolt in swap and takes 2-3 hours for the transfer case...and another hour or two to line up the shifter linkage.

if you can, have the junk yard get you the linkage too.
