well my B2 with 2.9 is having some issues... at idel some days and apon acceleration just passed 1500 rpm it bogs down...i let of the throttle its good to go or if i punch it it hessitaes, stumbles then gose....i pulled some codes (KOEO) and got code 53 high TPS voltage and 63 low TPS voltage...is that possible?? faulty TPS??

I did a sweep of the TPS by backprobing with a meater and got a nice smooth sweep..... .795 at idle and 4.3 @ wide open

Any ideas, tips or suggestions would be great!

Heres one for ya, Years ago my 87 b2 2.9 was doing the same thing. Turned out to be a ground wire, heres the kicker, it was the ground wire attached to the windshield wiper motor on the drivers side firewall. I have never had that problem again. no joke. I myself thought Ford was full of crap, but it worked. I would still think of it as a joke but I had called the dealer and talked to a friend of mine to see what he thought, I cleaned the ground wire myself.

well thats interesting!!! i will take a look at it tomorrow....ended up putting a new TPS sensor and pig tail as the pig tail tabs that hold it in place were broken....drove around for a while tonight ....was great, stooped at a friends for a bit, fired up, drove to the end of the street and the next street it acted up again.right around 1800 rpm or so but if you revved it passed 2500 or so it was fine

any other thoughts!?!?!?

Don't forget to get rid of your old codes, or it wont go away. I have since doubled up on my ground wires, can't have enough in my opinion.

The low end should be about .5 and the high end should be closer to 5, 4.75 at least.

So, yes, it is possible for both codes to be correct.
