smart junction box?

Hi all,
I purchased a 2004 4.0 manual 4x4 with no power options and did a restoration down to bare frame. While in pieces I went to the salvage yard and picked up a wire harness and smart junction box with power options. Apparently the smart junction box has some issues, passenger unlock button works for driver side but not passenger. If someone hear could supply a vin number for this model year and options or the correct smart junction box part number I would appreciate it. 4L5T-14B476-AH came in the 4x4 with no power windows/locks/mirrors. a 4L5Z-15604-EB is what ford says is the replacement. A 4L5Z-15604-FB
Kit - Alarm/Keyless Lock System is still available from ford. Help Happily appreciated!

If you are swapping modules from truck to truck, you have to take it to the dealer and get it programmed to accept the different module.

Thanks for the info and I looked it up. From what I read it appears that the programming is needed to turn off/on functions per vehicle. anyone know if their are other reasons?

In 2004 Ranger you shouldn't need any programing to swap SJBs, even with added features like power group

You may want to have some functions turned off like DRL

Drivers door unlock switch found copper wire broken inside wire insulation 1/8 inch from switch connector. passenger door unlock solenoid not working found wire crimp inside b connector on smart junction box broke. Smart junction box from other truck appears good it even allowed me to program remotes. win win!
