Shrunken Clothes..

I don't know who needs to hear this, but you can buy "pre-shrunk" cotton shirts.

In my experience, they still shrink. Just not as much.

I buy clothing I don’t have to worry about shrinking.

I buy most of my cloths used from the thrift store. That way way when I rip a hole in it or light it on fire, ect. I’m out $3.

I save old clothing for that. Stuff that has seen it’s best days for every day attire, gets dumped in the nasty work cloths drawer. Then they get used until they are no longer fit for being out where people care about decent and indecent exposure.

Depending on what I’m doing, most of mine are too. Garden or yard work, everyday clothes. If I’m gonna get paint or oil on me, out comes the nasty clothes.

Speaking of nasty clothes, I need a new pair of work boots. My old ones are about to have a blow out. The upper is separating from the sole pretty badly now.

LOL, I've got one pair of work jeans, bunch of pre-shrunken cotton t-shirts stained with stuff, and about 5 pair of shorts to work in.

All the rest of my clothes are "good" stuff to wear to work and out on the town.

I have required uniforms I have to wear at work, otherwise I might have more work, work clothes. I have enough to get by at home, regardless of the weather.

It was nice, where i used to work, because they had uniforms. As a mechanic, that was great.

Now, my current place of employement, us army as a civlian, doesnt provide uniforms to us mechanics so everything is work clothes but one or two nice pants and a few nice golf shirts

In the National Guard, it depends on the type of civilian employee you are. Title 5 straight civilian, you provide your own clothes. Title 32, Dual Status, you wear the military uniform they issued you as a military member (you must maintain a military position to keep your job). Our weak union lost separate civilian uniforms decades ago.

My company has payed for my uniforms including boots. Very nice perk. They have also changed the style of the uniforms and company logo on the uniforms every couple years. I have so many old uniforms laying around.

We do get a boot voucher. They give us 125 each year for new boots. Have to be steel toe and non-slip soles though

Since retirement my old "dress\work\office" clothes mainly gather dust
& are now exclusive for rare weddings+funerals:
~ black dress pants, black leather belt, silver buckle
~ black Tee Shirt, white LongSleeve ButtonDown shirt
~ pair of black cotton socks, comfortable black velcro Nikes
Never have, never will wear a Tie; who ever invented those, hope they got hung with one.
Beyond that, I wear whats comfortable\practical for work in the yard\shop\house,
