SHO Powered Ranger.

Has anyone (other than Ford) successfully installed a Yamaha 6cyl from a SHO in a Ranger? All I have seen is people talk about doing it... Seems like all it is, is talk.. I think there was someone on TRS "talking" about doing it a year or so ago... I think the home built SHO Ranger is as rare as a Ford Camaro..
I'd love to be proved wrong...

All the searching I have done only produces someone starting one... I have yet to see one finished... I wish I had the money to put one in my truck... See more talk about doing it

Honestly I think Gwaii would be the one to finish an SHO Ranger before anyone else... Hell he could do it while he sleeps he is so awesome at builds!

See.. This is going to end up being something like I knew a guy who knows this guy whose sister's grandma's brother's mother had a one horse buggy well she removed the horse and Bill Elliott's cousin built some heads on the Sho engine she intalled on the buggy.. She only drove it to church on Sunday and entered it in the Amish horse buggy drag race once..And never drove under 90!

At the Ford Nationals in Carlisle I have seen two different Merkur XR4Ti's with an SHO engine swapped in place of the turbo 4-banger. I can't give you any details other than that I have seen a rear-drive swap of an SHO motor with my own two eyes.

But was the rear wheel drive swap a Ranger? I have searched Hi and lo and can't find a single Ranger SHO cept the one built by Ford...
