Im reading up on selling stuff these days...seems FB marketplace is horrible, offerup and CL are hit/miss... and more than a few people recommended posting on forums. I'm thinking just post stuff yall might be interested right here. I could stand to part with a good chunk of sell worthy tools, trinkets, ranger parts etc...I dont need 6 thermostats of varyings temp ranges (figured that out). I would just have to figure out buddy pricing and shipping...Gonna look into the spent primer thing....its probably a common topic over at the shooting forums...like us with threads about 2.9's overheating.
Craigslist is the best these days as far as weeding out scammers & deadbeats. Virtually every sale I make on there is successful and there is no BS, however the site doesn't have as much traffic as it did in years past so it takes longer to sell things.
FB Marketplace is a disaster. That was what led to my exit from FB two years ago. It was the opposite of Craigslist - 95% of the contacts I got were deadbeat idiots would would never show up or ask 20 questions and ghost you.
As far as shipping - if you're SURE there's no live primers, you're good to go. It's no different than cutting up a pipe into little pieces and shipping it. Live primers, powder, and loaded ammo require Hazmat shipping.
Scrap value is less than normal yellow brass. I can't recall how much less but it seems like it was about 2/3 the going rate. It's worth way more to reloaders - even more if it's sorted and cleaned. I used to pick up a ton of it at the range and sell it, and keep the stuff I used, always paid for my gas and sometimes a small profit.
