i took trans out for swap and wanted to do rear main seal because it was leaking and there is something in front of it that i don’t know how to remove and if i should. it has to be apart of the crankshaft as the flywheel bolts thread through it, plz help. as you can see from the pictures it is in front of the seal and in videos i’ve seen of the 4.0 seal getting replaced it’s not there and they don’t show how they got it off
edit: i just looked at the rear main of the vehicle i got the manual trans from and it does not have this piece. so it must be auto specific or maybe it came off the drive play when i removed it?, any idea on how to remove it? that’s the third and 4th picture is from the manual
