So I was testing out my truck to against a 1993 Acura Vigor (straight 5 engine) and when I hit about 4,000 rpm I heard a rattling noise that came from the passengers side and then when I shifted again it dissapeared until I hit 4,000 rpm again...I believe its the exhaust cause it already looks to old, looks kind of corroded, all orange, and it comes from the passengers side, It may be another problem thats why I wanted to let u know guys to see what it could be...By the way the acura didnt stand a chance against my banger:thefinger:

cat heat shield.

other than street racing being bad, a 2.3 can be ridden hard and put away wet without caring... back in the day when I put a lot of miles on my truck I would cruise at 3000rpm and shift at 5000rpm nearly every shift, it didn't really care and for cruising they are happiest between 2500 and 3000rpm

Ford's factory fix is a very large hose clamp wrapped around the cat, I fixed one with a coat hanger wrapped around the middle as tight as I could bending both ends to hold tight, then took a pair of pliers in a straight piece and twisted to tighten it further, did this for someone else but as far as I know it is still working...
