A shroud makes the fan more effective. I've got a Derale reverse rotation flex fan that's pretty aggressive but isn't noisy. I wanted an electric fan but couldn't find one that would move enough air and fit between the water pump and radiator, even after putting the radiator inside the core support. I've pinned my 85 mph speedometer without overheating. Idling for 20-30 minutes at mid 90's with the air on caused it to get hotter but not overheat. Bringing it up to 1500 or so cooled it right down. How does that shrouded fan setup work for u? I read that shrouding it will overheat if your riding on the turnpike.have any issues with over heating at all?
