I have a new to me '03 4x4 3.0 liter standard shift.
I knew when buying it the parking brake did not function. A visual check showed that the lines had been cut off. I bought a full set to replace them all. Started the job today, driver rear, and when I get inside it seems there is nothing to connect the cable to. Can someone point me to a list of what parts are needed inside for the parking brake connection. I looked at some exploded views and I see parking brake lever, parking brake line spring, parking brake link - is that all the parts? I seem to have none of those. Also where would I pick these up from? Rock auto didnt have any of that listed.
Thanks for any help.

edit for poor frustrated spelling

probably salvage yard for the levers, they usually last for many years.
post up some pics, hopefully that will keep us from sending you too far down into the money pit.

Thank you
I put it back together for now. Some deep searching suggests what you said, salvage yard for these parts.

Anything 98 to 12 should be same?

My credo
Lead follow or get out of my way
Google: 2003 ford ranger rear brake self-adjuster kits
That didn't bring any results for park brake hardware.

Aside from the lever and the link/strut... there is an anti rattle spring on the link/strut... also a spring washer and horseshoe clip that retains the lever to the broke shoe.

I would also look over all the brake hardware... if it is original I would replace all of it. Springs rust a degrade over time and just don't perform as well. Remember the star wheel adjust has to turn freely... buy one of those too if it is frozen/rusted.
