Decent price for that axle, I picked up 2 complete 10.25's for $200 (used 2 to make one narrowed one)

i climbed the axle tree. and dont have any regretts doing so.i have learned ALOT along the way. started building the mazda in december of 09 and had 2 d-30's under it before i swaped in the FW 44. i have yet to break anything on it yet. i feel that i run it pretty hard but 99% of the wheeling around here is mud, i dont think i would have the same reasult if i were to be in rocks. i have yet to have the urge to swap in a 60.

since i did my SAS i have sucessfully swaped in 3 sets of 1/2 ton axles into other vehicles as well. and none have had any failure's yet. however myself and the 3 others are all still v-6's (1 4l bronco ll and two 4.3 s-10's)

i'm running and have been running 37'' iroks one s-10 is running 38'' q78's bronco runs anywhere between 37'' trxus M/T's to 33 bfg M/T's and the other s-10 is running 37" military takeoffs. and i will repeat myself we dont have much for rocks up here so most of our wheeling is Mud, hills, and washouts. dont know how they would like crawling.

My credo
it is easier to fix and understand than "her"
with v8 power, only thing i would swap over an existing ttb d35 would be a 60 if i were able to get d35 parts. getting d35 parts that are in good shape in the rustbelt is not so easy these days so aftermarket d44 axles are beginning to make more sense cost wise.

kp axles.... are stronger ultimately.

but when they fail you need a new knuckle...normal bj axles offer a fuse. and they steer better, especially the later setups. i like the bj axles more and more these days.

and the reason aftermarket prefers the bj is because its cost effective all around.
