Just had my 91 2.3 fixed? New oil pan gasket, new rear main seal. cost me about $ 1000 bucks. I was told it might drip a little from oil that had leaked before repair. Drove bout 100 miles then cleaned everything with engine cleaner then wiped everything down real good. next day I noticed a small puddle under the oil filter and dipstick area. it is oilly around the dip stick on the block and down from there. I'm pretty sure its still leakin! I looked everywhere and cant see exactly where the leak is. My repair guy is pretty good so I'm going to bring it back if I cant figure out and fix it myself. I couldnt fix the rear seal and oil pan gasket my self because I dont have the means to pull the motor. If I can figure out the leak myself i'll fix it! any ideas as to what i should try?

The dipstick tube could be damaged or loose. Also make sure the filter isn't double gasketed.

Changed the filter, leak fixed. Guess filter has to be a little more than hand tight.
Check that, after a long ride I noticed it was still leakin, Turned out to be a crack in the bottom of the dipstick tube. I didnt see it untill I pulled it out, Small flange agianst block was cracked. Trimmed it off and put it back in, added the inch to the top and all is good!
