it was the first accident ever claimed on our insurance in 27 years so they said they wouldnt raise our price, unfortunately it was my fault, i rear ended someone and it screwed my truck up but hardly hurt there's at all, they drove theres home, and mine got towed to my favorite body shop, the left fender is screwed up there is minor frame damage, the tire is poped couldnt open my drivers door the hood is bent up the bumper was on the ground, and i hit the guy at 40 MPH. he had this huge early 90's GMC 2500 and it only knocked the light out of the back, and dented his tail gate. ugh, i am just so disgusted with myself for that, i cant believe i did that,:pissedoff::pissedoff:
anyway i will have pics monday

I would beat myself up for that too if/when I ever did/do it. But that's why we carry insurance, and it is great that you are responsible and had a policy in force. Trucks can be replaced, no big deal. At least you didn't get hurt, that lasts longer and sometimes forever. We are only human. We F*** up. If only the company I drive for understood that...

:shok:yer lucky, i hit a tree at 40mph[ my own stupidity at work ], bent and twisted the passenger frame in three places, before and after the axle, laid the radiator on top of the motor AND blew all the glass out of the cab. i got out lucky with minor bumps, but that :pissedoff::pissedoff::temper::temper:tree saved my bacon cuz on the other side of the tree was a 30 foot ditch/drop-off filled with boulder the size of volkswagons. friend went to pick it up and when the hooked a chain to the back axle to drag it off the tree he was able to walk under the truck without bending:shok:. better luck next time, glad ya wasn't hurt

Been driving for the same outfit for 17 years- luckily no chargables yet. But they aren't very forgiving if you do tear something up. Pull a trailer away from the dock with someone standing in there (no injuries, just standing in there) and its called a "serious accident". Two of those in one career and your ass is fired.

Bottom line, check the box carefully before moving it...

Forgive me for be a participant "jacker"...

You have a choice based on senority wether to run local, domicile, or interregional. Most of the guys with senority like to stay local. I choose to run interregional even tho I have enough time in to be local. Too much traffic around here, get me out and I'm happy. They have to get me back in 7 days anyway, as I work every other week- 7 days on and 7 days off. Yeah, its a tough gig but someone has to do it.
