Thinking about adding a 50 shot to my 96 2.3. Any thoughts, comments, suggestions, etc. so on and so forth????

Figuring a dry kit. Zex probably. Not too familiar with nitrous, but I figure I'll need an air/fuel gauge along with bottle pressure gauge. Any help is greatly appreciated

Also, I don't plan on using it very often at all. Only when I'll be racing my bro's 91 honda hatch with a z series. Just looking to beat that car.

a 50 shot should be easily do-able on a mostly stock motor.

a wideband O2 and A/F gauge is a very helpful, but not totally necessary addition. get one if you have the cash (they arent cheap).

if your going dry shot, what are your plans for fuel support?

you should try doing some searching on the web about nitrous. theres lots of basic info out there.

you have a number of ways of making up the extra fuel....from a cold start injector from an older deisel VW...to adding larger injectors to your motor (you'll probably need around 30lb/hr or so)...and everything in-between.

of coarse, a wet shot delivers the extra fuel with the nitrous...

extra injector idea...not good idea and too much work. with a 50 shot youll probably be ok. id put a wet kit on it with a fogger and call it a day. if your worried, put a bigger pump in it first. a 50shot aint shit

EFI intakes actually work a little better with a dry kit, seeing as an EFI intake was only designed to flow air, not fuel. And if you are just planning on going with a 50 shot you wont need any upgrades to your fuel system, but upping the fuel pressure will give you a little more power on the bottle.
