So, their worried about valves snapping but not a peep about the coking issue that isn't an inexpensive fix either.

2.7 ECO? Ford already switched to different valves to fix the issue.

My guess is they they are looking at the older ones. Though, I do recall there being some sort of issue with the 2.7 in the Bronco. I don't remember what it was though.

There was one production group of 2.7L in the Bronco that swallowed valves. My understanding is that it was a valve keeper problem, not a valve problem, but it was only a small group and we have heard no issues about that since. That was back in 21.

from the article, after October 2021 the valves were made of a different alloy that solved the problem, so the engines affected are only the 21 and 22 model years.

From what I have heard from people, the 21 and 22 model years are not Ford's best years as of lately.

My credo
If you don't have time to do it right will you have time to do it over?
From my experience with Ford before retiring in 2017, I'm surprised they haven't initiated a program to address this. They were called Customer Satisfaction Programs and were to address product problems they'd identified. There were programs that would extend warranty coverage on some parts and others that would just replace all affected parts.
NHTSA crucified GM for updating an ignition cylinder without changing the part number but waited until 2014 to force Honda to recall their Takata airbags , even though the first death was in 2001. And they accepted Toyotas claim that their customers were too stupid to pull the floor mat out from under the gas pedal. NHTSA does some good but they don't judge all brands using the same standards.

They did issue a recall and stop sale on the affected vehicles.
