Hi Ranger Addicts, my name is Brian and I've owned two different Ranger's over the past 15 years now and I think they are very reliable great little pickup's, my first one was a 2000 ranger xlt 4x4 this truck was purchased with 30k and was in mint condition but driving it through pennsylvania winters slowly took its toll .Even though the 3.0 held together for over 253k and the body was still in great shape the frame disintegrated . It broke my heart to send it on it's way ,but it was time to let it go. From that point on I was on a search for a clean , fair priced replacement and it had to be another ranger. Well let me tell you there is a lot of rusty "POS" out here in PA. so it took a couple months to find a new but old Ranger , and what I mean by that I found a 1991 Ranger xlt extended cab 4x4 that I just could not pass up .This thing had all original paint 4.0 engine with a five speed and the frame was solid ,and all the documentation of past service work . I will have to say it did have rust starting around the bed wheelwell lip but not bad for a 30 year old truck with 86k on the clock . Since purchase last year I have put a 4 inch lift new tires and wheels had bed sheetmetal professionally cut out and new metal replaced and the bed got repainted ,the rest of the truck is original . I've attached a few pic . What do you think ??
