Sounds like they need a ranger!
Our city actually has a couple of 4x4 ext cab Rangers, kind of funny to see a black and white Ranger.

I know Concord, NH (the next city over) has a Ranger (around a 2003-04) they use for parking patrols. It's silver whereas the the other cars in the dept are black & white (Impalas & Crown Vics)

i wonder how much Ford paid Subaru for their AWD system?
Probably a little less than they paid Toyota to license their hybrid technology before. They'll deny it though just like they did with the hybrid tech. Even though they told us about it in training seminars.

I also saw at my work an Escape that got hit by a sliding front-end loader. The machine survived and limited the damage to the front end only. Then also an Edge that was in a rollover. Not a single panel on that thing is straight anymore but it still drove straight and true, runs good and as far as the frame goes, the entire machine is still structurely sound. I don't like unibody trucks as much as the next person but a well designed undob car or crossover can be tough enough to protect you.

Any more questions?:icon_twisted:
The dealership my brother works at just got done reframing and Escape that hit a deer, apparently they snuck up on it and it was getting up as they hit it and it touched nothing but the bumper/frame. $19k damage (counting labor to pretty much completely disassemble/reassemble the car.

It would have HAD to hit more than that. And unless it was a really loaded NEW escape, like in the picture above, it would have been totalled. I know you were told this but like Sarah Palin's book and gay porn, I'm not buying it.

Sounds like it took out more than the bumper. There was one here that had an obliterated front end and I don't think it was half that.
