Well, it's been a rough past year for my trucks. I had a 99 Ranger 4x4 3.0 that had, unknown to me, been in a bad accident before I bought it. When I had the transmission out, I saw that the motor mount on the block had been snapped off. Not the mount itself, but the actual part of the block that the mount bolts into. I managed to somewhat fix it and bolt the side of the motor back down, until the motor seized up last July with no warning. Not wanting to take a loan out with the economy just getting really bad, I bought a 91 Exploder that should have been going to the junkyard next. I put a slave cylinder in it, lockout hubs, new water pump and alternator since July. Well, it lasted 6 months and it threw a rod this last weekend. 265,000 miles. Can't complain I guess. A coworker is ready to part with his baby. It's a 93 Ranger 4x4 with 90,000 miles and original owner. It has the 2.3 4 cyl and its own name: Zoobs. I'm pretty excited to get it, decent price at $1500! Other than the last two trucks, they've all been great to me.
