Punishment? That isn't punishment, just finding the weak links! You should see how others run theirs, I am easy on mine. I figure I built it to wheel, I might as well wheel it like I want to and try not to hurt it too bad! But honestly, this is the first time I have ever broke anything and I just happened to do it 3 different times in 3 different days...LOL. The only break that was from abuse was the axle, otherwise the Booger did great.
:icon_cheers: I totally understand run it like it's built for I'm the same way just haven't got out yet this year

On your highlift mount...

You may have told me Sat night, don't remember, but how did you get a bolt through there? I built the mounts, but don't have enough room to get a bolt that long between the outside and inside bedsides.

I've decided to just use all thread. Plate/nut on the backside, and wing nut to hold the jack on. Unless I've overlooked something big time, I don't see how to get that long of a bolt in there.

I had the same problem.....I put the bolt in thru the inside of the box, pulled up on it so it angled the hole then put it in thru the back so the bolt could go in on an angle...get it?? (dumb question, but using all thread, can't you just put it in then nut it from the back?) Are you going to use a spacer to hold it out from the box side like I used the black pipe? The only other thing i think I need is a bigger washer on both sides of the bed side.

The all thread should work just fine also, I used the carriage bolt just so I didn't have to get to the back side to hold it, the square head pulled into the hole as I tightened it and kept it from spinning.

Good luck, let me know how it turns out!

Yep, I thought about widening the hole, which is essentially what you did, but decided I'd like to keep it as tight as possible.

Yep, that's the plan
Plate/nut on the backside

I've got the same size pipe (1" schedule 40 right?). I knew I had some layin around, and it fits in the "groove" of the lift perfectly. I built mine with a 'foot' that rests against the bedside, then the 'washer' on the inside (between inner and outer bedside) is the same size plate as the 'foot'.

The all thread should work just fine also, I used the carriage bolt just so I didn't have to get to the back side to hold it, the square head pulled into the hole as I tightened it and kept it from spinning.
My spacers have another nut welded inside of them, so I will only have to tighten it from the backside one time. The spacers will then be self supporting, and the wing nut will only hold the jack to the mount.

Good luck, let me know how it turns out!
There will be pics in my build thread by the weekend (hopefully) :D
