The problem is that Ford didn't make the Ranger from 2011-2018, so Toyota took over. Ford could dominate this segment with the Ranger and Bronco, although Ford has never really taken the Ranger seriously. They see it as a piece of the market pie in truck sales, but it's not the F-150 that Ford focuses much of its life around.

I saw some new Ford Rangers and some fullsize Ford trucks at Overland Exo in 2019:

Overland Expo West – 2019 – The Ranger Station

2019 Overland Expo West Photo Album – The Ranger Station

There is so much to see, do, and learn there. I'm sure when the new Bronco is out you'll see some companies there with some Bronco's setup to get a piece of the market.

The Mountain West event is new. The West event was rescheduled from spring to fall. I know the West event draws people and vehicles from around the world.

But back to what you said, it's up to us the owners and enthusiasts to bring Ford in to the overlanding world and start attending these events. I plan to go back someday.

For as long as I have been in the Ranger world, my Ranger has always been behind the curve. Not much really available for aftermarket accessories aside from lifts (which cross over to newer trucks)

The company that made my rear bumper swingout hardware mainly makes bumpers for Toyotas. My rocksliders are intended for a 1980's longbed Toyota pickup. Ranger outsold Toyota starting the 80's and they still don't have the same support.

A lot of people like the cookie cutter insert tab A into slot B stuff and I think it is a turnoff when people go to build a Ranger. I hear it a lot: "aftermarket isn't there, just go Toyota" which of course hobbles future aftermarket support.

Meanwhile here is me:

Seen a couple of fat fender and fat tire right hand drive trucks today ..

Didn't even think they were ford's.... When I realized they were rangers...I about fawked up trying to get pics....

They were not bronco square...but did not look like current trucks either....much bigger headlights...one was wide like my truck.
Not RHD and it's pretty square... with what appears to be an F150 Grille.

It sure has the fat fender/tire part down.

sure wish you would have got a picture of what you saw.

I don't think I read that...

Bobby said what he saw was RHD. I miss working in Dearborn... I had way more connections back then.

To me the grill is the odd ball thing... I was thinking maybe coming on the next gen ranger?

How original...

I can totally see why they didn't do Warthog.

For one it kind of annoys me when they stack totally unrelated animals.

They could have gotten creative and stayed with a horse theme.

Instead we copy and paste from the F-150...

People know what a F150 Raptor is, everyone likes them. Seems to me a good idea to use that same name as a trim level.

Very funny, I just bought one as well about a week ago online, already arrived in the driveway 3 days later...err I mean in the mailbox HAHA!!!!

If the real ones look like that it would be great. I don't care for that much of a lift for anything I would ever do with a new Bronco but its an option that probably a lot of buyers want/need for sure. Glad its a package option and not how it comes whether you want it or not type thing. Personally I just want the basic base model 4WD Bronco, and I think for what I do it would be plenty...maybe if they'd offer a limited slip or the locker as an option in all configurations I may do that, but I honestly think since my 88 Bronco 2 goes where I need it to with open differentials I should have no trouble in a base model new Bronco. I have thought about having a lunchbox locker put in the rear end of my Bronco 2, but honestly haven't got into anything where I've gotten stuck so maybe its better left alone HAHA!!!

Every other trim for the Bronco is made up fresh, there is no ST, XLT, Lariet etc... why let the creativity stop there?
