for the most part yes, try to get the ecu as well and youll be better off. the exhaust doesnt line up. your truck is dis and the mekur has a distributor so youll have to either, re pin your harness to work, or mouth your crankshaft position sensor on the new motor

Just saw your PM, but it's easier to just say it here... Follow Turbroke's build that he's been working on the last couple months, I've made a bunch of posts that completely apply to what you are thinking about doing, the only difference between your truck and his is you have a MAP sensor to control fuel where he had a MAF sensor, and your oxygen sensor has 3 wires instead of 4. What that means for you is your stock MAP sensor becomes the BARO sensor that the turbo engine needs, and you'll have to add the wires for the vane airflow sensor.

What I don't remember about the Merkur is which VAM they have (big or small) and which turbo they ran or computer. You just have to wire them accordingly and use the right parts.

Like I've said, it's easiest and cleanest to use as much of the Ranger components as possible while using the important turbo parts

Alright. I've moved this thread to forced induction. I'm going to get the motor and get to work
