Are there readily available factory LED projectors that are equivalent to the factory HID units yet? I wouldn't mind going down the road of adapting a projector to factory housings one of these days... You know, after I get the truck running again. Some day.
They make drop in LED's for the rectangular sealed beam trucks, no idea how they are. I don't care for the look. For the newer stuff I don't know.

I was talking about something more like this, where the entire assembly is designed around properly focusing the beam from the HID source. The retrofit involves opening up the factory halogen housing and converting it to hold the projector. That way all the focus issues are avoided because it's all handled internally within the projector unit.

There may be a similar version for factory LED headlights, but it's not a road I've been down for research yet.

I just installed LEDs in my truck. I have the clear headlight housings and no problems at all. On install you have to install the led correctly or you high/low is reversed, in that case, you just take them out rotate 180deg and put back in. I have had them for about a month and have been flawless. I do need to adjust headlights I think I am blinding some oncoming drivers. Had a few flash their high beams at me. Also, these LEDs are white light instead of yellow. I love them

@PetroleumJunkie412 has them in his Ranger that he brought on the trail ride last year. he seemed to be pleased with them, they didn't look too bad on the truck.

I seen them on a jeep in town yesterday. Honestly looked a bit silly.
