Aside from headers, intake, exhaust and chip, there's not much out there for the 3.0L.
Whipple did make a supercharger but it's rumored to be discontinued.
IMHO, the newer 3.0L engines get a bad rap, but are good engines. There's times I wish my Ranger had a 4.0L, but when I really get to thinking about it, that's not really true... I'd much rather have a PSD F-250 for my hauling instead of a 4.0L ranger...
But sometimes you have to learn to work with what ya got, an I got a 3.0L ranger that hasn't let me down yet, it's moved everything I've hooked it to and it's gone places I previously never thought possible for a lil 2wd pickup. Basically, the 3.0L ranger has suprised me in performance.
And to answer the second question...yes and no...
Yes it will bolt in, no it's not just that simple.... you also have to change/adapt the wiring, change the computer, and everything else associated with the motor that isn't the same for both motors. (fuel pumps should be the same but you may need to change the fuel lines or adapt them, etc).
Oh, and welcome!
